Dear Early Childhood Professionals,
Thank you for being a part of the early childhood world. We are grateful for those that have joined us in the past and we hope you
will join us for the 2012-2013 year! With the support of early educators such as you the Alliance for Better ChildCare will continue to
offer conferences and workshops throughout the year.
Membership fees last year enabled us to keep our conference costs low, join with another organization to host Michael Thompson,
not once, but twice and also continue with our November mini-conference. We are proud of what we have offered to our members
and could not have done it without you!
This year the Alliance for Better ChildCare plans to continue offering:

*Bi-Monthly newsletters
*Fall Mini-Conference (5th annual) Saturday November 3, 2012 (ChildsPlace, Hampton Falls, NH)
*Continuing the Quest for Quality Conference Friday April 12, 2012 (Community Campus, Portsmouth, NH) This year Dan Hodgins
author of, "Boys: Changing the Classroom not the Child" will be our Keynote Speaker. His new book titled, GET OVER IT,
Relearning guidance practices, will be out this fall.
*Children's Event (2012 event was Rick Goldin, 2011 event was Diane Kordas Romper, Rhythm & Puppets, 2013 TBA)
*Winter Evening Event (2012 it was Michael Thompson, 2011 it was Jeanine Fitzgerald, 2013 TBA)
*Summer Evening Workshop ( 2011 and 2012 We offered nature based workshops that you could bring your child with you. It
was well attended and got great feedback, 2013 TBA)

All of our events are opened to every child care center and family provider, but ABC members receive them at a reduced rate.
As a member of ABC you will receive an access code along with your membership certificate for our member’s only area. You will be able to print membership forms, get workshop and conference information, be a part of our great idea of the month, read our newsletter and much more. We are very excited about this new venture and hope you are too!! We look forward to hearing what you would be interested in seeing on our website. You can always drop me an email.
The NH Child Development Bureau put out an addendum for professional development hours. Join ABC come to meetings and up to 1/3 of your state required professional development hours can be met by attending our meetings!!
